Kilmarnock sign Celtic defender Stuart Findlay on loan

Kilmarnock have signed Scotland Under-21 defender Stuart Findlay from Celtic on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old centre-back has had similar loan stints with Morton and Dumbarton over the past two years.

Carrick made 54 appearances for Hearts from 2012-2015, scoring eight goals and has played for Scotland at under 16 and under 21 level.

Former Rangers captain Lee McCulloch will be named as player-coach at Kilmarnock, according to Sky sources.

The role will predominately see McCulloch as a member of Locke’s backroom staff, but the former Scotland international will keep himself fit and ready to play if required.

Kilmarnock goalkeeper Craig Samson has agreed an early release from his Rugby Park contract.
The 31-year-old, who began his career at Killie, returned to the Ayrshire club in 2013 and made 38 appearances last season.
Samson had another year to run on his deal but had lost his starting place to summer signing Jamie MacDonald.

Der ehemalige Hearts-Trainer Gary Locke verpflichtet einen ehemaligen Hearts-Torhüter, der einen verletzten ehemaligen Hearts-Torhüter ersetzten soll, damit man morgen nicht ohne Torwart gegen die Hearts antreten muss.

Kilmarnock manager Gary Locke resigns after Hamilton loss

Gary Locke has resigned as manager of Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock and will be replaced on an interim basis by Lee McCulloch.

Locke stood down after the 1-0 home defeat by Hamilton at Rugby Park.

The result leaves Kilmarnock second-bottom, having played more games than the three teams around them.

Locke, 40, was put in temporary charge in February 2015 and was made permanent manager in April. He won 11 of his 43 games in charge.

Kilmarnock said in a statement:"The Board of Directors would like to thank Gary for his time with the club and wish him every success in the future."
